Rapidly becoming the pleasure destination in Southwest Oklahoma, the Quartz Mountain Resort, Arts & Conference Center offers numerous activities including an 18-hole golf course, miniature golf, seasonal fun park for all ages, paddle boating, mountain biking, hiking, nature trails, and nearby rock climbing. While at Quartz Mountain Resort, take a tour of the endless artwork on display. A 50-acre riding area for four wheelers is located on the north shore of Lake Altus-Lugert. The resort features 118 rooms in Western, Native American, or Southwestern decor, plus 11 cabins. Each hotel guest room features four pieces of original art. The resort also features the Robert M. Kerr Performance Hall, library, and an outdoor amphitheatre.
Directions: From Altus, turn N on Hwy 44A, cross the bridge and turn right at the Y. Follow the road past the group camp and grocery for a scenic mountain drive to the lodge.
