Located in southeast Oklahoma, McGee Creek State Park and Natural Scenic Recreation Area occupy the southwest edge of the Ouachita Mountain Range. McGee Creek Lake is well stocked with largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, smallmouth bass and perch. The Natural Scenic Recreation Area offers hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails, while hunters will enjoy the McGee Creek Wildlife Management Area. Horses are not available to rent. The park features boat ramps, comfort stations with showers, fishing pier, swimming beach, picnic sites and a playground. Campers may choose from eight lake huts, two RV campgrounds with electrical hookups or primitive campsites.

Amenities in the 12 ft wide x 24 ft long lake huts include bunk beds with mattresses, table, chairs, fireplace, heat and air-conditioning. Each lake hut has a screened-in back porch. Water and grills are available outside each hut. Showers and restroom facilities are within walking distance.
